He studied at the Conservatory of St. Peter in Maiella in Naples under the guidance of the Maestro Giovanni Leone and then he studied in Munich with Maestro Otto Buechner and Franz Beyer and at the Accademia Chigiana in Siena with Franco Gulli. In 1972 he was the overall winner of the National Exhibition 'Auditorium-Young interpreters' organized by RAI. For years he has been part of prestigious complexes such as the Sestetto Chigiano, the Virtuosi of Rome and the Italian Soloists with whom he has performed as a soloist in the most important theaters in the world.
He has played with the most prestigious Italian orchestras (Teatro alla Scala in Milan-RAI in Milan, Rome and Turin, Felice di Venezia, Pomeriggi Musicali in Milan, Haydn Orchestra in Bolzano, etc.), receiving critic and public acclaim everywhere.
Eminent musicians of our time such as William Walton, Bruno Bettinelli (who has also dedicated his concert for violin and orchestra) and Carlo Galante have expressed great consideration. He plays intense chamber music activity. His recording of Mendetssohn's Attetto and Trio was reviewed by the well-known American magazine 'Fanfare' as one of the best on the market.
He has made recordings for Erato, RCA and the Dynamic. He recorded the concerto for violin and orchestra by Carlo Galante and that of Bruno Bettinelli. He holds various courses of specialization and has been for over twenty years professor of principal chair at the Conservatorio 'G. Verdi 'of Milan. He currently teaches at the Fiesole Music School.
