Welcome to the 14th International Festival Luci della Ribalta, organized by the Associazione Mozart Italia sede di Terni, affiliated with the prestigious International Stiftung Mozarteum of Salzburg, in collaboration with the Municipality of Narni and with the support of the Fondazione Carit.

I am really pleased to announce that the Festival Luci della Ribalta will take place from 17 to 27 August 2024. More than 20 events are confirmed, including concerts, improvisations and tastings, in the most suggestive places of the municipalities of Narni and Terni, involving numerous internationally renowned artists from all over the world.

The festival will open its doors on the weekend of August 17 and 18 with a solo piano recital by the great pianist Michelangelo Carbonare and one of the best emerging groups on the international scene, the Werther Quartet, and will then host you at the Inaugural Concert, which will take place on Sunday August 19 at 9:00 pm at La Loggia dei Priori and will feature highly prestigious musicians including Aron Chiesa, First Solo Clarinet of the Orchestra del Teatro alla Scala and the Eos Quartet, with whom they will explore the repertoire for clarinet quintet together. For the occasion, we are also planning an inaugural toast with a tasting of fine wines from Tenuta Cavalier Mazzocchi 1919.

Another unmissable event will be on Tuesday, August 20th at 7 pm with the event In Paradisium, curated by Maestro David Eggert and the presence of Don Sergio Rossini at the crypt of the cathedral of Narni, followed at 9:30 pm by the concert La Musica nel Cuore, a very evocative moment in memory of Maestro Renato Chiesa, creator and promoter of this festival. The following day, Tuesday, August 21st, we invite you to the Ritorno della Festa Armonica, together with international performers such as Jacqueline Ross, Katarina Vasilievič, Alessandro Viale, David Eggert and Nata a Šarčević.

Thursday, August 22nd from 9:30 pm we are waiting for you at the Gran Galà. As per our tradition, it is a musical parade in which soloists and ensembles of the highest profile will perform, in addition to the orchestra of the International Festival Luci della Ribalta conducted by Maestro Alessandro Viale.

The evening of August 23rd starting at 9:30 pm will instead take place with musical happenings and non-stop performances, in the now traditional setting of Happy Wine and Music with the presence of Tenuta Cavalier Mazzocchi 1919 for a tasting of fine wines.

The festival program still includes many other musical events together with artists of great importance on the national and international scene, such as Marco Fiorentini, Antonio Sciancalepore, Patrick Juedt, Laura Pietrocini, Martina Santarone and others; not to mention the countless talents that will populate the streets of the city of Narni, who will be hosted by the association for the annual Masterclass of high specialization.

In conclusion, I would like to thank everyone for the great support: the public, the guests, the collaborators, the supporters, the institutions and the staff. For this fourteenth edition, my hope is to transport you into a spell of sounds and images that can bring us all together, through the indelible mark that only art can represent.
