In 2015, the International Festival Luci della Ribalta and the International Masterclasses, now in their 5th edition, will see fundamental consistency, as well as important innovations.
The principal location for International Masterclasses will remain Narni, as always. For years, now, the city of Narni in the summer has hosted students and professors alike, who will again be able to enjoy its historic and artistic beauty. The dimensions of the city also allow all participants to reach their classes and residences through a short walk. The location of Narni is also important, as it is situated in an area which is rich in historic attractions such as the nearby medieval hill towns or the nearby cities of Rome and Perugia, and also in natural attractions, like the famous Cascata delle Marmore, to which short tours can easily be organized.
The Associazione Mozart Italia, sede di Terni, will, as always, look after the organization of logistics, food and lodging during the festival, guaranteeing the students convenient and affordable arrangements and also allowing them to follow courses and lessons with important professors from various international musical institutions and granting them also to participate in many concerts organized ad hoc.
It will be a great event but a hard work too basing on the numbers for the previous edition which are particularly encouraging: 29 countries were involved, including Italy and students came from all five continents; more than 100 students participated, over twenty professors taught and, with students, staff, artists, and guests, there were more than 250 people who came to and stayed in Narni for this festival.,
Soon, and in any case before the beginning of March, it will be possible to refer to all related information on our website (which is currently being updated). For every eventuality, it is also possible to contact the Associazione Mozart Italia via our relevant addresses.
The 5th International Festival Luci della Ribalta will offer to all, both professors and students and also numerous guests artists alike, the proper stage to perform as soloists, chamber groups or in the orchestra, which is often directed by famous directors.
The 2014 edition of the Festival, which took place from the 11th to the 26th of August, will be remembered, in particular, for the large number of events that were offered to the public free of admission. The extraordinary quality of the events was deeply appreciated by the public which, other than the inhabitants of Narni, also saw a constant influx of tourists and spectators from the Province of Terni, the neighboring zones of Umbria, Abruzzo, Tuscany and even from Lazio. The presence of many foreigners at the festival was also notable. Citizens of over 20 countries participated in the festival, including the musical professors, their students, their families and people who were simply passionate about music, and didn’t want to miss the spectacle.
The 5th International Festival, as in the past, will see not only music as protagonist, but also arts, culture and entertainment with seminars, exhibitions and special events. Schedule of the Festival will be soon available on this website.
At the end, an important development this year is that the International Festival will be including other cities of the province, as well as the traditional seat of Narni, thus offering a greater audience, recognition and public participation to an event which has been in constant growth through the years.
