The Associazione Mozart Italia sede di Terni, is pleased to guest M° Arturo Tallini at the 8th International Masterclasses Narni 2018, a musician who pursues the unceasing exploration of his instrument the classical guitar as the Scelsitar, of his invention, the sonorities of the midi guitar, the improvisation and the electronic.
The Master will hold his lessons from August 24th to 29th 2018 in Narni, in the province of Terni. He began his career with the first prize at the prestigious International Competition of Alessandria in 1987, followed 2 years later by the III prize at the International Radio France Competition in Paris, he has done concerts all over Europe, the United States, Egypt, Algeria and Tunisia.
Although he has never abandoned the classical repertoire, he is today considered a reference for contemporary guitar music, in Italy and abroad. He has collaborated with internationally renowned artists, from the guitarist Magnus Andersson, to the singer Michiko Hirayama, the contemporary music group Modus Novus of Madrid, the Choir of the National Academy of Santa Cecilia and the pianist Bruno Canino.
For him composers such as M. Bortolotti, F. Razzi, A. Di Scipio, S. Tallini, Vescovo, F. Casti, M. Cardi, P. Esposito, D. Nicolau, F. Cavallone, L. Cinque, G.V. Cresta, M. Coen, M. DíAmico, S. Gacevich, M. DallíOngaro, O.J. Garcia, A. Amoroso, G. Boselli, M. Pisati, T. Marco, E. Cocco, M. Morgantini, F. Telli, S. Cardini, F. Maglia.
The free improvisation led him to create a permanent duo of total improvisation with one of the myths of contemporary world music, the Japanese singer Michiko Hirayama with whom he has been giving concerts for years. He has also held complete improvisation concerts with Eugenio Colombo, Antonio Iasevoli and Michele Rabbia.
This year he released his new CD Rosso Improvviso, he writes: "It's a point: the point of my career in which I felt I had something to say about songs that are now part of my imagination and my sound world ... Sudden ... improvisation, which has an important part, in the pieces of Maderna and Pisati, but also in the Ciaccona by JS Bachche, while written, evokes the incessant flow of a improvisation Red ... A bit of a play of colors, seen my previous CD, Blu, but also the Red of vital energy that emerges disruptive in the other two tracks of the CD: the Sequence XI of Luciano Berio and the Sonata of Alberto Ginastera, in which the guitar, raped, indicates other possibilities of the instrument, which, in the common imaginary, remains linked above all to the cantability and to that dark sound, rich in harmonics, to which the esthetics most dear to the general public has accustomed us ".
Since 2007 he is a guitar teacher at the Conservatory of Santa Cecilia in Rome, conservatory in which he created a high-level school, from where he cames out as the most interesting Italian guitarists of the young generation.
