Welcome to the 15th International Festival "Luci della Ribalta," organized by the Terni-based Mozart Italia Association, affiliated with the prestigious International Stiftung Mozarteum of Salzburg, in collaboration with the Municipality of Narni and with the support of the
Carit Foundation. It will take place in Narni from August 17 to 26, 2025. The 15th will once again be not just an unmissable music festival but a true celebration that will enliven the buildings and streets of Narni, alternating concerts, improvisations, and tastings. The audience, who have been following the event in large numbers and enthusiastically for years, will rediscover some of the artists who have enchanted them in previous editions, as well as many new musicians and internationally renowned groups.
The first concert, "Fantasie all'improvviso," with Maestro Alessandro Viale on piano and the Pegreffi Quartet, will take place on August 17 at 9:30 pm in the courtyard of the Narni Town Hall.
On Monday, August 18th, the chamber music and solo concert, MUSICA NEL CUORE (MUSIC IN THE HEART), will be dedicated to the memory of maestro and composer Renato Chiesa, creator and promoter of the festival together with the current President and Artistic Director Anais Lee. Performers will also include his two sons, Aron Chiesa, principal clarinet of the Orchestra della Scala, and Elia Chiesa, principal violin and one of the founders of the EOS Quartet (2016) and the Liszt Trio (2024), who will perform at this concert.
On Tuesday, August 19th, the program will begin at 7:30 pm with MOZART'S AMAZING JOURNEY IN UMBRIA, a roundtable discussion featuring Simona Maranga, Pier Paolo Trevisi, and Alessandro Viale, followed by a tasting of fine wines from Tenuta Cavalier Mazzocchi 1919. The evening will conclude, again in the courtyard of Narni's Town Hall, with the Inaugural Concert TO THE NOTES OF SCHUBERT featuring soloists MARTA ROSSI, piccolo, SALVATORE VELLA, flute, CARLO MARIA PARAZZOLI, violin, DAVID EGGERT, cello, VALENTINA CIARDELLI, double bass, and
ALESSANDRO VIALE, piano, with the WERTHER Quartet, already one of the most promising ensembles on the chamber music scene.
On WEDNESDAY, August 20th, the Brandenburg Concertos will be performed by the DYNAMIS and WERTHER Quartets, conducted by Maestro PATRICK JÜDT.
The following day, the CLARINET PROTAGONISTA recital will feature ARON CHIESA on clarinet and MICHELANGELO CARBONARA on piano. Friday, August 22nd, will feature the GRAN GALÀ concert of chamber music and soloists, featuring renowned soloists, the LISZT Trio, the WERTHER Quartet, and the Luci della Ribalta International Festival Orchestra, followed by a tasting of fine wines.
The Flute Fantasia concert on Saturday the 23rd is conducted by Maestro SALVATORE VELLA, while musical happenings and non-stop performances by festival artists will continue until late in the evening, with the special participation of MARTINA RUSSO and ANDREA MELLACE on percussion. The final two concerts, scheduled for Monday, August 25th, will be conducted by Maestro Valentina Ciardelli (double basses) and Maestro Alessandro Luciano (arias from famous operas).
Throughout the festival, impromptu and intimate performances will take place in the streets and spaces of the city, such as churches, courtyards, and palace halls. These will offer concert opportunities to talented young musicians, who will have the opportunity to engage with a passionate and knowledgeable audience.

For this fifteenth edition, my hope is to transport you into an enchantment of sounds and images that will bring us all together, through the indelible mark that only art can represent.
