Ivana Aćimoski Žikić

Ivana Aćimoski-Žikić has graduated from her undergraduate and master studies at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade as a student of professor Fern Rašković. As her assistant, she started to work on the Faculty of Music of Belgrade in 1993. Since 2017 Ivana Aćimoski-Žikić is full time professor at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade. She is the winner of the highest Republican and Federal recognitions, awards from the various foundations. She has been a scholar of Ivo Pogorelich and Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts.

As a solist, she participated at prominant festivals: William Walton (Italy), Ohrid Summer Festival (Ohrid, Macedonia), Ecole Traditionnelle Russe de Piano in Geneva in the year of 2008, First International Summer Academy of Chamber Music Henef (Germany), NIMUS (Niš, Serbia), Skopsko Leto (Skopje, Macedonia), SOMUS (Sombor, Serbia), Zemun Music Evenings, Sarajevo Winter. She held a series of concerts with Aleksandar Serdar and Natalija Mladenović in the frames of the “National concert season 2008“, organized under patronage of the Ministry of Culture and President of the Republic of Serbia. She held series of recitals and concerts with orchestras in Germany, Switzerland, France, Spain, Italy, Greece, England, China, Bulgaria, Hungary, Macedonia, Croatia etc.

In addition to numerous recitals in the most significant concert halls in all the biggest towns of former Yugoslavia, and many important centers abroad, she has accomplished over 40 stage performances with chamber and symphony orchestras: Belgrade Philharmony, Köln Chamber Orchestra “Fenix”, Sorrento Sinfonietta International Chamber Orchestra, Belgrade Strings Orchestra “Dušan Skovran”, Simphony Orchestra of RTV Sarajevo, Niš Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra of the “Home of Army”, Chamber  Ensemble “Amoroso” and numerous of significant domestic and foreign conductors. Ivana Aćimoski-Žikić accomplished cooperation with famous Macedonian composer, Dimitrije Bužarovski, whose composition ''Cabare op. 62'' she performed succesfully at the festival ''Skopsko Leto'' in the year of 2012 as a world premiere and recorded a CD in production of “Valve Hearts“ from Germany, as well as for the usage of Radio-Television centers of Belgrade, Skopje, Zagreb, Vienna, Novi Sad, Geneva, Sarajevo.

As a member of the Belgrade Strings Orchestra “Dušan Skovran”, she participated on festivals: “Santorini International Music Festival’’, “Sofia Musical Weeks”, “Europe in Saint Petersburg” and numerous concerts in China, Great Britain, Hungary, Greece. Ivana plays on the French violin Gand and Bernandel.

Her students accomplish remarkable performances and a huge number of prestigious awards at international competitions:

  • Lana Zorjan, Laureate of the competition Jaroslav Kocian 2022 (Czech Republic), Franjo Kežma (Croatia 2021.) the First prizes-Jozef Micka (Prague), Nedelka Simionova (Bulgaria 2019,), Giuseppe Tartini 2018. (Slovenia), Special prize of Academy Zakhar Bron at The Nutcracker (Russia 2021.), Virtuoso 4+ in Budapest 2020., the First prize at Nouvelles Etoiles competition (Paris 2022.)
  • Staša Žikić, Laureate at the “Art of the strings’’ 2018 (Serbia), the First prize at the Constantine the Great 2021.
  • Aleksandra Bogdanović, the First prize at International Young Musicians Competition Antonio Salieri Prize 2010.
  • Vladana Stevanović, the First prize at International Young Musicians Competition Antonio Salieri Prize 2010.

Ivana Aćimoski-Žikić has been a permanent member of Jury at the International Competition “ENKOR” since 2015, in the categories Violin and Chamber Music (ENKOR Jury Board, now International Academy of Performing Arts and Sciences). She also served as a juror of the International Competition “Petar Konjović” in 2001. ,, Art of strings“2018, International Competition for Strings in Niš 2009. and 2019. and she held numerous masterclasses in Serbia and at Zhejiang Conservatory of Music, China 2019. She was invited to be a member of the jury at Jaroslav Kocian in May 2023.
