Sandra Belic graduated under André Navarra at “Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst” in Vienna, cum laude of University.
During the studies she received scholarship of the Austrian Federal Ministry of Culture.
She received MA degree at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade. Sandra has had advanced studies at seminars with Daniel Shafran, André Navarra, Siegfrid Palm and Boris Pergamenchikow. A pedagogical influence and artistic bond between Maestro Shafran and Sandra were particularly strong, so she attended Shafran's Masterclasses all over the world for nine years.
She won „October prize“ three times and greatest State Youth Award „Ivo Lola Ribar“.
Sandra Belic had numerous recitals in Yugoslavia, Italy, Austria, France, Great Britain, Israel, Poland, Czechoslovakia, Belgium and Japan. As a soloist, she performed with such orchestras as „Musica viva“ (Moscow), Liszt Ferenc (Budapest), Radio Brussels Orchestra, Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra, Belgrade Festival Strings and „St. George“ String Orchestra.
In 1998. she was awarded for the best performance at the International Tribune of the Contemporary Music in Belgrade.
She gave first performance of the cello concertos by Andre Jolivet,
Sir John Tavener and Nimrod Borenstein in Yugoslavia..
Sandra Belic has recorded for Radio and Television in Yugoslavia, for RAI, BBC and Radio Brussels. She has performed at all important festivals in Yugoslavia, England (City of London Festival, St. Albans, Jordan, Buxton), Italy (Ancona), Spain (Bilbao, Burgos), Russia (Vladimir), Romania (Bacau), Greece (Santorini, Samos), China (Beijing, Shanghai, Tsin Dao), Switzerland (Bern), Hungary (Budapest) and as solo cellist of the „Belgrade Strings“ at „Prague Spring“ festival.
In 2003. Ms Belic won the Annual Award of the Serbian Musical Artists Association for the best concert in last year.
Since 2003. Ms Belic is the selector and artistic director of the Belgrade International Cello Festival "CelloFest".
Five foreign and Serbian composers dedicated their works to Sandra Belic.
Also, she gave master classes in Spain (Burgos), Macedonia (Bitola), Austria (Wiener Neustadt) and in December 2016 in Italy (Milano, Conservatorio “Giuseppe Verdi”).
In May 2005. she participated at the International Cello Congress in Kobe ( Japan ) giving a master class. From then on, she was invited several times to give concerts and master classes in Japan. Also, Sandra Belic's CD (with pianist Hiroko Ohki) featuring sonatas by Beethoven and Schubert was published in Japan in 2010.
She is a full time professor of cello at the University of Music and Arts in Belgrade.
