WORLD ARTS PROJECT CONDUCTING ACADEMY 2022
Conducting course for Recitativi Accompagnati, Arias and Duets with prof. VLADIMIR KIRADJIEV.
Analysis sessions with piano and technical training with singers. Minimum of 90' of podium time with ensemble and voices, dress rehearsal and concert. The course will take place in Narni in August 13th - 18th. Course fee is 700 euros. Applying deadline - July 11th.

The Associazione Mozart Italia sede di Terni is pleased to announce the masterclass in opera conducting for the first time at the International Festival Luci della Ribalta. The teacher will be M° VLADIMIR KIRADJIEV, a leading name of the international scene, who has worked with the major orchestras all over the world and is professor of opera conducting at the University of Music and Performing Art (mdw) in Vienna.
The course is aimed at young conductors who want to launch their professional career, increasing their knowledge and skills. The Masterclass will cover a great range of pieces from the Italian opera, which the students will have the opportunity to conduct on rehearsals with singers and piano and sessions with an ensemble. At the end of the course, the students will have the opportunity to share the podium in a concert within the 12th International Festival Luci della Ribalta 2022.
The Festival and the Masterclasses will take place in the historic center of Narni, a splendid medieval town in the province of Terni, located about an hour's drive from Rome.
For ten years now Narni has been the frame of our Festival and of the Masterclasses which, edition after edition, have generated a great cultural impact on the territory and an artistic value of the highest level. Our Masterclasses are open to all orchestral instruments, as well as singing, classical guitar, piano and composition, with a wide choice of teachers of international standing. The Festival runs at the same time with the Masterclasses, has about fifty events per season and represents an unmissable appointment in Narni's summer, which attracts a large influx of audience. In the last edition among students, teachers and artists we brought together about 300 people, from more than 20 different countries and 5 continents.
Vladimir Kiradjiev, conductor
Vladimir Kiradjiev was born in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. After graduation with honors at the State Academy of Music in Sofia for conducting, composition and choral conducting, he studied further with Prof. Kurt Mazur (Weimar – Leipzig), with Prof. Franco Ferrara in Siena (Italy) and with Prof. Oesterreicher in Vienna. 1984 – 87 he became chief conductor of the opera in Sliven and permanent guest conductor of almost all Philharmonic orchestras in Bulgaria. Between 1990 and 1994, he came to Vienna and became conductor and later principal conductor of the Vienna Residence Orchestra.
Kiradjiev is permanent guest conductor with numerous opera houses as example: Stadttheater Luzern, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Komische Oper Berlin, Berlin Metropol Theatre, the Latvian National Opera Riga, Bulgarian National Opera, Kazan Tatarian National Opera. He has been conducting several symphony orchestras in Austria, Germany, France, Switzerland, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Russia, Poland, Mexico, Colombia and China. He has been cooperating with stars as Anna Netrebko, Elina Garanca, Rafal Blechacz, Rudolf Nureyev, Rene Kolo and many others.
Since the season 2008 – 2009 he is Artistical Director of State Philharmonics in Rzeszow in Poland and Artistical Director of the Music Festival in Lancut.
Previous recordings: 1996 – CD recording with works by Schoenberg and Lutoslawsky, 1998 – CD recording of “Tosca” by Puccini; live recording of composer seminar Boswil 1999 with Klangforum Wien; 2000 CD with 3 works by contemporary Austrian composers; 2001 CD with waltzes and polkas of the Strauss family.
REGULATION – Conducting Course for Recitativi Accompagnati, Arias and Duets
1. The conducting masterclass, organized by the Associazione Mozart Italia sede di Terni in collaboration with the Municipality of Narni, will take place in Narni from 13th to 18th of August 2022.
2. Musicians without limits of age and nationality can participate in the course, and will be distinguished as ACTIVE or AUDITORS.
3. The course will be activated with a minimum of 8 effective participants, except in special cases decided by the Management. The teacher will select the students based on merit criteria, on the basis of a video which will be sent together with the application. Persons, which are not in possession of a video recording can be taken into consideration and evaluated on the basis of the Curriculum Vitae.
The course will last 6 days; the rehearsals with ensemble are scheduled from the 4th till the 7th day and the final concerts is scheduled on the evening of 18th of August 2022.

For ACTIVE students, the application (pictures and CV) must be sent till 11 July 2022.Theregistration fee (see below) will be trasfered after a confirmation of active participation by the course leader, by 11th July at the latest. The Management reserves the right to accept, exceptionally, also the applications received subsequently, if deemed appropriate.
For AUDITORS students the application must be sent within the first day of class.

Each effective participant will be entitled to:
- 90 minutes of podium time in piano sessions
- 60 minutes of podium time conducting a chamber ensemble
- Conduct a dress rehearsal and in the final concert
- Attend meetings, lectures and rehearsals

4. The application must include:
- Copy of an Identity Document and Fiscal Code
- 2 Photos (1 passport size and 1 artistic only for ACTIVE students)
- Short curriculum (only for ACTIVE students)
- If possible - video (as Youtube link)
- For minor students: a signed authorization from a parent or guardian and a copy of ID card and fiscal code of the signer
- FOR ACTIVE STUDENTS: COPY OF THE BANK TRANSFER OF EURO 130,00 (this sum includes the advance payment of the course attendance fee and the mandatory membership fee for the Associazione Mozart Italia sede di Terni, equal to EURO 52,00).
- FOR THE AUDITORS STUDENTS: COPY OF THE BANK TRANSFER OF EURO 150,00 (this sum includes participation in the chosen courses only as listener, and the compulsory membership fee for the Associazione Mozart Italia sede di Terni equal to EURO 52,00).

The name and surname of the student and "conducting course" must be specified in the purpose of payment.
5. Balance of the attendance fee for the course
EURO 570,00 ( the accomodation is not included in the course fee)
The attendance fee for the course will in any case be paid before the lessons begin.
6. In case of renunciation by the students, the registration fee of EURO 130,00 (including the membership fee) will not be refunded. The refund is foreseen only if the organization decides to cancel the course for reasons beyond the control of the participants. Regarding the attendance fee it will not be returned in any case after the courses have started.
7. The organization is not responsible for any damage to persons or objects which might occur during the course of the Masterclasses in any area reserved for classes, studios and concerts.
8. Participants must bring concert clothing including closed shoes, or in any case suitable for this purpose.
9. An official certificate of attendance will be issued to each student at the end of the courses. All the Active students and Auditors will be automatically subscribed as ordinary member for 2022 to the Associazione Mozart Italia Sede di Terni.
