Born in Munich. his father Herbert Becker, first violin of the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich, gave him from his childhood a musical education. After his studies with the teacher Prof.Otto Schmitz, he has been admitted to the "Staatliche Hochschule für Musik München", in the class of the same teacher. After his degree in 1986 (summa cum laude) he attended a master class in Munich, obtaining full marks. He began also his orchestral conducting studies, which brought him to conduct and play as soloist pieces of the most important horn repertoire with numerous orchestras in Europe, North Africa and South America. Since 1989 he has been first horn soloist at the Gran Teatro La Fenice in Venice, where he also has an intensive career as soloist. (Mozart, Strauss, Vivaldi, Haydn) He is regularly invited, as first solo horn, to perform with other famous orchestras such as the Bayerischer Rundfunk, WDR Sinfonieorchester, Münchner Philharmoniker. NDR Sinfonieorchester, SR Sinfonieorchester, Bayerisches Staatsorchester, and the Filarmonica della Scala. In his career he has had the honour to collaborate with prestigious conductors such as Leonard Bernstein, Semyon Bychkov, Sergiu Celibidache, Myung-Whun Chung, Michael Gielen, Heinrich Hollreiser, Eliahu Inbal, Marek Janowsky , Ferdinand Leitner, Kurt Masur, Riccardo Muti, Georges Prêtre, Sir Eliot Gardiner, Zubin Mehta, Wofgang Sawallisch, Giuseppe Sinopoli, Sir Colin Davis, and Yuri Temirkanov. His recordings range from the chamber music to the classical Horn Concerts. Konstantin Becker performed in the most important concert halls all over Europe, USA and Asia. He has been teaching repeatedly in horn master classes in Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Spain, Japan, China, (Conservatory of Beijing and Shanghai) and in Brazil. In 2006 he appeared Artistic Director of the international Horn Competition “Federico II Sannicandro di Bari.
